Dean of Students

MEET THE DEAN - Ali Threet

Ali Threet has spent 15+ years learning what it means to work with others and grow positive relationships. Her experience has allowed her to interact with people of all walks of life. She has worked with high school and college students, high level administrators, faculty and staff, industry professionals, community members, and retirees. She embraces collaboration, change, and diversity of thought and truly embraces the idea of being a connector.

In her role as Dean of Students, Ali’s first priority is being an advocate for students. You will often find Ali walking around campus, introducing herself, showing up at events, and being present. She encourages students to ask for help and provide feedback for things that need to be improved across campus. She believes in a culture of helping. When students, faculty, staff, and community embrace a spirit of generosity, then the overall climate of the university improves, as well as the lives of individuals.

Ali has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interpersonal Communication, a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Adult Organizational Learning & Leadership. Ali and her husband, James, have three children and reside in St. George, UT. Ali loves spending time with her family hiking, paddle boarding, playing games, going to concerts and watching movies.
